Steadicam

I have experience in operating a steadicam from year 2002.

Since then I have shot loads of commercial, short films, TV shows, many feature films, some documentaries and many other type of projects.

I started loving the idea of a steadicam probably since I was around 15 yrs old. I really like the possibilties it gives to a filmmaker. Altough it has many limitations, it can be used very creativily if used wisely.

My camera range on the steadicam has been from small miniDV, -HDV cameras to HDCams, 16mm cameras and 35mm cameras ending up with ARRI BLIV Evolution and ARRI 435. One of the heaviest has been so far RED camera with most of its accessories plus a ring light. That was one "helluva" load..

I own at the moment Steadicam Master Film system. It's a bit older model but so far it has served me well and it suits pretty much all the cameras so far.
I also have a Bartech wireless remote focus. Because with steadicam focus needs to be pulled without touching the camera or anything attached to it in anyway.

Temporary showreel

Here is a short montage of some of the stuff I've done lately as Steadicam operator.

Some footage is taken from video assist but hopefully it doesn't ruin the effect

I know I shouldn't call it "temporary" because all temporary is forever.. :)

Single shot. Done specifically for the showreel purpose. Actors are all my friends and lighting is there only for exposure.
Camera was an old Betacam SP.
